I Had A Hip Replacement Almost 2 Years Ago, Skin Originating In The Scar Area And Also Experiencing A "new" Pain In My Right Upper Thigh, That Comes And Goes, Like A Spasm Of Severe Pain Is This Fine ?

Question: I had a hip replacement almost 2 years ago, the orthopedic surgeon says it all looks good, so I'm not sure what type of Doctor to go to for this problem. I have severe tight feeling under the skin originating in the scar area from THR and radiates around whole hip/lower back area. This has been getting progressively worse for approximately 6 months. I am also experiencing a "new" pain in my Right upper thigh, that comes and goes, like a spasm of severe pain.
Brief Answer:
Could be muscular or more likely to be pain from disc disease.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I have read the question and I understand that you have now feeling of tightness around your hip and lower back.
In my opinion this kind of feeling comes if the muscles are not exercises and are fibrosed. This does not appear to be so in your case.Another possibility is that you might have developed disc problem in lower back and this gives similar picture.
I suggest you take pain killers, muscle relaxants and a combination of pregabalin and methycobalamine . Start Exercises for your lower back and hip to improve strength.
Kindly share the x rays if you have them.
Thanks
