Question: I had a medical abortion starting Thursday. I was 5 weeks 2 days. Took the initial pill in office and then the remaining 2 yesterday around 12pm. Starting at about 2:30 I started to bleed heavily, and continued to for several hours. I passed several clots and had some cramping off and on. Today I feel pretty normal, the cramping has drastically decreased and so has the bleeding to that of a normal/light period. I am supposed to have an IUD placed Monday for the first time. Is it safe to have it placed now? The doctor at the clinic said yes, but I am looking for another opinion.
