I Had A Sleep Study Last Night And The Technician

default
Posted on Wed, 2 Dec 2020
Question: I had a sleep study last night and the technician said my blood oxygen level got low. He said that he tried to increase the blood oxygen level by increasing the titration on the CPAP, but when he increased the titration, I started mouth breathing so he just lowered it. He said my doctor would discuss this with me? Is this an area for concern? What suggestion do you think the doctor will have?

I am 5'9" and 200lbs. I have developed AFib and my cardiologist wanted me checked for sleep apnea. The sleep technician did increase the titration but I started mouth breathing so he just lowered it back down as he was trying to increase my blood oxygen. Does this mean I will have to have another sleep study since he didn't keep the titration at the higher level to increase blood oxygen?

Yes, to all three questions. I guess I dont know why I would need another one when I was just there. Couldn't it have been addressed last night?
