Question: I had a spine surgery 2.5 years ago due to cauda equina syndrome in L5S1 disc which was severely compressing the spinal cavity and pinching the nerves. There was bulging in other discs also. Last few days I am feeling vibration in my tail bone area very frequently, it is like tingling or a little current. What could it be and would back strengthening exercises help it.
Brief Answer:
Physiotherapy will help.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your query and health concern in detail, tingling and current like sensation are due to nerve compression.
Methylcobalamine and back strengthening exercises will definitely help you.
But physiotherapy should be done under supervision.
I hope this answers your query.
Wishing you good health.

Dear Sir, Thanks for your answer. Do you feel that the nerve compression (as observed by you) resulting into vibrations into tail bone area is a very serious situation and may require a surgery or it can be improved with medicine and exercises. Further, i am also having burning sensation in hips / upper thighs, if i sit for long (even though in a comfortable chair), could it also be linked to nerve compression or something else. Do i need to do an MRI again. Thanks again
Brief Answer:
Due to nerve compression only.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Only mild vibrations in the area can be cured with the help of medicines and physiotherapy. If it is associated with acute pain and loss of muscle strength then a surgery may be needed.
The burning sensation is also linked to the nerve compression. You can start with methylcobalamin supplements and proceed for MRI scan in case the symptoms do not improve in two weeks.
Hope my answer is helpful.
