I Had A Style In My Right Eye, With Swelling

I went to XXXXXXX Hopkinās Wilmer eye institute Nune 10th and was prescribed Tobamyicin 1 drop 3x a day for 7 days. It got better, but eas still inflamed and sticky after seven days.
Durning the evening of XXXXXXX 15th I felt a sudden pain in my left outer upper eyelid, kind of sharp as if something got in my eye. It swelled up like a bad mosquitoe bite localized to the upper eyelid area of pain. With in 24 hours my entire eye was swollen shut, with huge amounts of yellow discharge and constant tearing, so I took myself to urgent care was was prescribed Ofloxacin, 4 drops a day in both eyes. It has been 24 hours of medication, and my eye and face are more swollen and red, and I am getting pain down my face to my ear area, and down my face past my cheek bones to the corner of my left mouth. I have an appointment at the Wilmer eye clinic late tomorrow afternoon. Should I go to the ER because of face swelling,or is it safe to wait until tomorrow. I do not have a fever at this time, but I do have facial swelling burning and pain along with my eye being increasingly swollen.
best to be seen this evening
Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic
It would be best to be seen this evening.
Though it can take more than 24 hours for initial response to treatment with antibiotics, because your symptoms are worsening it is best to be assessed.
In some persons, infection of the eye spreads to involve the skin around the eye or the tissues behind the eye in the eye socket. These conditions are called peri orbital cellulitis or orbital cellulitis
Both of these can be treated if found.
It is quite possible that there is no spread at all but the infection is just not responding as yet but because there is a narrow window of treatment when it comes to the eye, assessment is best
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
