Question: I had a trace amount of blood in my urinalysis. Had a normal cystoscopy in August 2018 and normal ct w/wo contrast in XXXXXXX 2018. Is it possible I could have a malignancy this soon after testing? My XXXXXXX 2018 psa was 1.29. Thanks!

Brief Answer:
You do not have a malignancy

Detailed Answer:
Hi Dmorrissey37,

To answer your question: No, you cannot. A cystoscopy combined with CT w/wo contrast only a years time ago rules out that a malignancy has developed. If you do not have other symptoms (weight loss, pain, etc.) you do not need further evaluation.

Hope this helps. Please contact me again if you have further questions.

Brief Answer:
Please repeat the PSA in a few weeks

Detailed Answer:
Hi again,

I suggest you repeat the PSA in a few weeks, and if it is still elevated, opt for a transrectal ultrasound.

Hope this helps.
Let me know if you have further questions.

Brief Answer:
It means 25 red blood cells per high power field

Detailed Answer:
Hi again,

Your result means that there are 25 red blood cells per high power field (with "field" meaning every frame on a microscope).

Do not hesitate to contact me if you have any further questions.

Regards
