Question: I had an Endometrium Biopsy done and the results were:
SCANT PROLIFERATIVE ENDOMETRUIM.
MINUTE FRAGMENTS OF BENIGN ENDOCERVICAL AND SUPERFICIAL SQUAMOUS EPITHELIUM, BLOOD, AND MUCUS.
WHAT DOES THESE RESULTS MEAN? DO I NEED A HYSTERECTOMY OR A D AND C OR ACTUALLY NOTHING AT THIS TIME?
PLEASE GET BACK TO ME AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
THANK YOU.

Brief Answer:
Endometrial Biopsy report evaluation
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query,
Scanty proliferative endometrium simply means the endometrium of the first phase of your menstrual cycle ( the initial 15 days) is normal. Endometrial hyperplasia refer to a pre-malignant. And absence of endometrial hyperplasia is good news ( so the biopsy is normal).
"FRAGMENTS OF BENIGN ENDOCERVICAL AND SUPERFICIAL SQUAMOUS EPITHELIUM, BLOOD, AND MUCUS". - this is a normal finding and rules out any atypical cells in the biopsy sample, which is deemed adequate as it has both endocervical and ectocervical component.
"This is a normal report and there is apparently no need to do anything,"
Regards

So, should I go ahead tomorrow to my appt and have a transvaginal ultrasound tomorrow or not to see if the endometrium lining has went back to normal or is that not necessary?
Also, I still have a little spotting here and there so can I use some clear water douche or what kind of douche can I possible use now?

Brief Answer:
follow up.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
post endometrial biopsy spotting may be possible for next few days and it would automatically subside. There is no apparent need for an ultrasound.
You can use alkaline vaginal washes like V-WASH or intiwash to maintain the local vaginal hygiene or even clear RO water douche is also fine.
