I Had An MRI Done On My Right Knee And
Question: I had an MRI done on my right knee and there is part of the report I don't understand. The part says :"Oblique signal abnormality at the posterior horn of the medial meniscus which does not follow." What does this mean???

Thank you Dr. I uploaded the full MRI report and was wondering if all of it together changed the outcome. I saw my Ortho Surgeon Today and he just explained how I just need to stretch my hip flexor more and gain more core strength. He also said its just Medial Plica Syndrome and how the oblique abnormality on the report is false. Thank you for your time. I'm In the Army so I'm not allowed to see civilian doctors and have been fighting my pain for over a year with no help.

I have seen the attached report. Oblique signal deformity with no evidence of displaced distal fragment suggests there is no tear. The signal deformity is due to plica excision. The pain that you have can be related to scarring or decreased joint lubricants. Taking regular joint lubricant supplements and stretching exercises will help.
