Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Welcome to Ask a doctor service!
I passed carefully through your question and would explain that a left catheterization does not give any information regarding the pulmonary artery.
A right catheterization could give more information.
But, a more specific tool to examine the pulmonary artery and all the cardiac structure and function would be a trans-esophegeal cardiac ultrasound.
Mild pulmonary hypertension is not a concerning medical disorder, and could be related to a lung infection. Other possible causes which could lead to an raised pulmonary pressure would be: pulmonary embolism, a chronic lung disorder, a congenital heart defect, etc..
Have you had any lung infection or asthma lately? Do you smoke?
Besides the transesophageal cardiac ultrasound, which would help examine the pulmonary artery pressure and also investigate for a possible congenital heart defect, I would recommend performing pulmonary function tests and a chest angio CT scan in order to investigate for possible lung disorder, which could lead to pulmonary hypertension.
In the meantime, there is no reason to worry about your flight, as mild pulmonary hypertension is not a concerning medical issue.
Hope you will find this answer helpful!
