Brief Answer:
What was the upper endoscopy for?
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks so much for this query.
For fever, I will advice you take Tylenol 650mg every 8hours as needed. However, 100.1 is really borderline and not strictly fever unless there are spike. I will like to know what the indication for the upper endoscopy was. Also, do you have any other symptoms? Also, keep well hydrated.
I hope this helps. Keep me updated about this.

The endoscopy was for Barretts Esophagus check up. Dr. did several biopsies that were negative. No other symptoms other than low grade fever and tired. Do sweat when fever breaks. Do I have a possible infection from the procedure?
Brief Answer:
No infection from procedure!
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I will recommend you monitor this fever only at this time. There are no alarm features. It is very uncommon to hear of an infection following a EGD with biopsy for Barretts esophagus.
If these symptoms persist beyond 5days, I recommend we get a blood check up just to make sure we are not missing out on anything.
Keep me posted on this.
