Question: I had bronchitis that began 13 days ago. Started with cold like symptoms that quickly progressed into the typical bronchitis symptoms. ee egrade fever on and off, fatigue, insomnia(I have horrible sleeping when I'm ill), coughing stuff up. I began feeling well again five days ago. Today I feel unwell again and the low grade fever and insomnia are back. I'm no longer really coughing stuff up but my lungs feel off like they did when I was in the worst of it. Is it possible for the infection to return?

I read your query and here is my advice.

This situation is known by people as the return of infection but it isn't really a return of infection it is a reinfection from another organism,possibly bacteria. If the first infection was a viral infection it is probably resolved but reinfection by a bacterial infection on the distracted mucosal lining may have happened.
You may need to visit a doctor to listen to your lungs and to do a x-ray of chest in order to check it.
I believe you may need to take antibiotics. Also mucus thinning medications such bromhexine, mucosolvan can be used.
Taking vitamin C also can help mucosal regeneration.
