Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for the relevant details.
* As there is pain with passing stool and blood occasionally, it sounds more
of fissure condition with second possibility of hemorrhoid ; irregular bowel
habits, diet pattern and sedentary life style are major concerns for this.
Guidelines for better recovery in either of the case are as follow
- Drink plenty of liquids.
- Consume high fiber diet including green leafy veg, cereals, pulses, whole
grains, legumes, organic fresh fruits and
avoid all spices, non veg, junk food, dairy fat if consuming.
- Natural probiotic support with fresh yoggurt and butter milk serve best.
- Regular aerobics and YOGA.
- Avoid smoking and alcohol ( if consuming ).
- Avoid anal intercourse ( if applicable ).
- Avoid prolong sitting on hard surfaces such as table and else, instead use
soft cushion to avoid direct pressure.
- Regular Sitz bath ( sitting in a tub filled with lukewarm water for 5 minutes
each 2-3 times a day, specifically after passing stool )
- Have regular smooth bowel movements, if needed use bulk forming
laxative such as Ispaghula husk or Psyllium fibers to support digestion.
- Local application of Xylocaine jelly ( 5 % ) after Sitz bath.
* No additional medications are required at present, neither there is need of
any urgent surgical consultation as well.
* Let me know about the progress of the condition and symptoms within
next 3-4 days of above for further guidelines.
Feel free to discuss further as per your need and queries ahead.
Wish you great health and recovery.
Take care.
