Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history and understood the concerns.
Facial cellulitis is a serious problem since it has close proximity to the brain, particularly via veins in the nose.
it is good that there is a good control.
Please give additional information for me to assist you better:
Is the bit red eyelid on the same side as the tight skin and lump on lower forehead?
Please post clear and focused photos as these sometimes help a lot.
Any history of diabetes?
Did the cellulitis start spontaneously or was there any injury or insect bite?
What is the size of the lump that you can feel?
Any other information please.
Awaiting for your feedback and photos.
With Regards.

As discussed in details below.
Detailed Answer:
Well I can understand the technical problem.
Diabetes is the cause of such infection and delayed healing too. I hope Diabetes is under control now.
The bogginess/sponginess you are feeling is most probably due to the cellulitis yet in resolution state, takes time.
The layers of scalp are also opened up during cellulitis but takes time to heal and close up.
High resolution ultrasonography or MRI can exactly tell what is going on inside. Please get these done if possible.
Please get your blood sugar levels and HbA1c checked. Keep diabetes under control.
Photos awaited.
I hope this answer helps you further.
Feel free to give feedback and ask for further relevant queries if you feel that there is a gap of communication.
