I Had Sex With Unknown Woman And She Had Some

Question: I had sex with unknown woman and she had some vaginal blood (maybe menstruation) so I got some blood on my lower belly (with has no cuts) and the condom which I manipulated with chapped hands. Also, I cleaned my penis (including the tip) with wet toilet paper before I cleaned my belly. There was nosign of blood in my penis ,but I'm worry I could put some blood/vaginal secretion in the tip while cleaning since I used my hands to manipulate the condom (to check for any breaking - it was intact).

My hands are with chapped/cracked skin due to dry weather . Some of the injuries from dryness were bleeding 3 hours before the sex (not during the sex). Is this situation a risk exposure to HIV?

I was worry because 7.5 weeks after the incident I got strong flu symptoms that lasted 4 days. Also 9 weeks after I had diarrhea for 3 days with some rash in my chest (although it started just few hours after I ate seafood soup that I felt funny in my stomach right after eating) I read that these are very similar to HIV early infection symptoms. Can it be related to HIV? - I found many "window periods" online, not sure which one to believe.

If needed I will test, however I would prefer not to. A year ago I had to test for another thing and waiting the results (negative thanks god) leave me with mental health issues and I am under xanax medication. Given that traumatic experience , I would really like your assessment on the risk here . Thanks !

Brief Answer:
Symptoms are unlikely to be due to HIV infection

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to Ask A Doctor.
Thanks for posting your query.
There is every chance for the girl to be free from HIV Infection. Then your HIV risk is almost nil.

I understood that you had a protected exposure. With the history of menstruation, chapped hands, handing the soiled condom you have a negligible risk for HIV.
Your symptoms like fever, loose motion are unlikely to be due to HIV infection.
Have a HIV test 12 weeks after the exposure and rule out HIV.

Can HIV early symptoms show up 7andhalf or 9 weeks after exposure ?

If there is almost no risk, I would prefer to avoid another traumatic experience of testing given my recent mental history listed above.

The girl was a prostitute. That was the reason of my concern

Brief Answer:
Ruling out HIV infection by the investigations will relieve the mental tension

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome back.

The earliest HIV Manifestations can occur 4-6 weeks after the exposure in the presence of an infection.
Your risk is negligible only.

Ruling out HIV infection with a test after the window period will relieve unnecessary mental tension. Otherwise, even small ailments or examination of spouse will always worry you very much.
