Brief Answer:
Probably a urinary tract infection, follow the advice below.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Your symptoms seem to be related to a urinary tract infection.

I suggest you do a urinalysis and culture sensitivity examination to confirm the diagnosis.

Meanwhile, I suggest using anti-inflammatory medication such as anti-inflammatory Acetaminophen 500 mg three tablets a day.

I also recommend drinking plenty of water and especially cranberry juice.

If the diagnosis is confirmed, antibiotics are needed.

In our daily practice, I suggest using Ciprofloxacin 500mg twice daily for five days.

This is a prescription medication, so you should consult your doctor before using them.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Brief Answer:
Ceftriaxone 1gm, Ampule can be used to treat urinary tract infections.

Detailed Answer:
Hi again dear,

Azithromycin is not a suitable antibiotic for treating urinary tract infections.

The reason for its ineffectiveness in urine infection is that none of an ingested dose gets into the urine.

Azithromycin is excreted by the liver into the gut.

Ceftriaxone 1gm, Ampule (it's available as injectable form) can be used to treat urinary tract infections.

It should be continued for at least 2 days after the signs and symptoms of infection have disappeared.

The usual duration of therapy is 7 days.

Hope my answer was helpful.

Take care dear,

Dr.Dorina Gurabardhi
