I Had Unprotected Sex While On My Period Multiple Times.

Question: I had unprotected sex while on my period multiple times. I took Plan B 3 times in a week span.. now i am having heavier bleeding than the week I was having sex. Is that normal because of the amount of plan B I took?
Brief Answer:
Due to plan B.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
Taking Plan B so frequently can cause a hormonal disturbance and an irregular bleeding due to the high doses of hormones that it contains. The bleeding that you are having now is due to Plan B. IT is better to avoid taking this pill and start taking a regular contraceptive pill to regularize your periods.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
Wishing you good health.

Since I took the plan b while on my period is it still possible to become pregnant since I haven’t ovulated since having sex?

I took the plan B all last week and the bleeding continued into this week. Will the bleeding stop soon?
Brief Answer:
The bleeding will stop gradually.
Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
The chances of pregnancy are not there. The bleeding will gradually stop in next 4-5 days. IN case the bleeding is heavy and persistent then you can start with an regular oral contraceptive to stop the bleeding and to regularize your periods.
Hope my answer is helpful.
