Question: I have Crohns Disease. I am having awful symptoms that are abnormal for me, and in the middle of a bad flare. I am having pains all over my body, aches. But the worst is of course my stomach which is staying swollen. And my chest tightness, neck pain (lymph node swollen) and shortness of breath. I don't know if I am just dehydrated, malnourished or something more like a clot. I am scared to go to the ER. I went to the ER saturday night they gave me IV fluids and IV steroids. They said my Blood work was good. But this chest stuff started Monday.

Brief Answer:
New situation, possible mononucleosis.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor's service. I read your query and here is my advice.

I think this is a new situation and not much related to Crohns disease. I think you possibly are having a mononucleosis infection. Your symptoms are much like ones of mononucleosis and your doctor should test it.

I would suggest you to do an antibody test or mono test your check for Ebstein Bar virus antibodies.
Hope I have answered the question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
