I Have Intermittent Extropia. Both Eyes Deviate Outward, But I
Question: I have Intermittent extropia. Both eyes deviate outward, but I use my left eye most. I'm 61 yrs old. In 2016 I had my first strabisme surgery, on my right eye, using adjustable sutures. The adjustment wasn't perfect because I was seeing double (I was awake for the surgery). Even still, it was a success. For the first time in my life I saw depth of field and had binocular vision. That only lasted 1.5 years. Although I haven't lost 3D vision, my eyes have gone back almost to their original position. This happened while doing vision therapy. The decision was made to do one last effort to see if vision therapy could right the problem. I did some intensive sessions. It got a bit better, but now the double vision in my right eye is back. Because if that, he wants to operate the left eye now. I'm very apprehensive and having a problem making a decision. Since I generally hold that eye straight it only seems logical that any adjustment inward will end up with that eye pointing inward. Is there any advice you can give me?

I read your query and here is my advice.
The best advice is to follow with an ophthalmologist surgeon. Surgery is the only long lasting and reliable solution. I don't think other therapies can work or last longer.
Please follow with an ophthalmologist surgeon.
