I Have A Burning Pain In My Leg - My

Question: I have a burning pain in my leg - my thigh especially - and I'm worried that it might be an embolism for no reason...I have never had one and have heard they are very dangerous. my leg is not swollen or hot to the touch. But I did not work out today as I do many days.
Brief Answer:
Not likely to be embolism.
Detailed Answer:
Hi I am Dr Gopal Goel , Orthopedic Surgeon.
I have gone through your query and in my opinion this burning pain in your thigh is unlikely to be due to any embolism. For embolism to occur there has to be a thrombus in any one of the veins particularly in the legs. It will be diagnosed by pain swelling in the legs but may sometimes be silent if you have had some injury or surgery.
Since you do not have a thrombus - you are unlikely to have embolism.
