Priority is to exclude a cardiac condition...

Hi,

The given information is insufficient to come to a conclusion. However as the patient is 58 years and he had sudden severe chest pain, the priority will be to exclude a heart condition - coronary heart disease.

Brief Answer:
Antiplatelet drugs...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

In case it's indeed CAD, I would prescribe antiplatelet drugs ecosprin in doses as high as 300mg.
Nitroglycerine will be used if blood pressure is on the higher side. I would start with 0.3mg and repeat the dosage if necessary all the while monitoring BP.

Hope I am clear. Let me know if you have any more concerns.
