Brief Answer:
Talking to herself and shouting like screaming sounds like she has hallucination
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for your question B. Hope I can be of help for you today.
Through reading your query I would like to help you with this question. Talking to herself and shouting like screaming sounds like she has hallucinations. Hallucinations are when you hear, see, feel, smell, or taste things that aren’t there. For example, people with schizophrenia often hear voices in their head telling them to do things when there isn’t really anyone talking. In this case we do not have a test to diagnose but by taking history and symptoms and doing an exam can help to say that schizophrenia or not. But to rule out other causes the doctor might need to do tests to make sure her symptoms are not caused by a different medical problem.
I hope that can help you, and please let me know if you have any clarification or question about that, and I would be welcome to discuss it with you further. I Hope you have good health.
Best regards,
Dr. Heang Chan Raksmey, General and Family Physician
