I Have A Copy Of The Results Of A Liver
Question: I have a copy of the results of a liver blood test I had done today. Could you look and tell me how they are?
Brief Answer:
g-GT elevated and amylase low.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor service. I read your query and here is my advice.
I see the liver test results in your attached reports and all of them are within normal range except g-GT which is elevated and amylase which is low.
I think the two test results can be related at a point and taking count that all other liver results are normal the only relation can be alcoholism or alcohol consumption.
Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Thank you very much for your advice. I do drink more than the recommendation. If I was to cut down on my alcohol do you think this could this have a positive effect on these results and make things better?
Many thanks.
Many thanks.
Brief Answer:
Cutting alcohol is necessary.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear and thank you for asking again.
I think the only way to bring them to normal or at least to prevent them from getting worse is to stop drinking alcohol.
You are welcome.
Wishing you good health.
Best regards
