Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I have gone through the query and do understand your concern.
Xyzal m contains levocetrizine a short acting antiallergic and montelukast, long acting antiallergic.
Most common cause of fever with cough and cold in this age is some viral infection.
For fever paracetamol (crocin or calpol) should be given in dosage as per her weight
For cough giving syrup with combination of levosalbutamol a bronchodilator, helps in relieving the airway spasm and Ambroxol a mucolytic that is mucus thinning agent.
I would like to continue the Xyzal m for next 4-5 days.
All these medications are prescription medicines so please get it prescribed by a pediatrician.
I won't get worried if the child does not having any breathing difficulty.
In most of the patients with viral infection symptoms subside in 4-6 days.
During night time you may give paracetamol (crocin)for fever irrespective of Xyzal m(which contains antiallergic).
Regards.

I am continuing Xyzal m, its prescribed for 15 days. As per your suggestion will give crocin if required as of now fever is low and not staying for more than an hour.
I was worried because I seen few post that says fever is the side effect of Xyzal m.
I didn't get you on cough syrup, are you suggesting to give cough syrup as well or Xyzal m is enough ? Could you please clear my doubt on this.
Thank you so much again. Its really helpful.
Thanks.
Please revisit your doctor if cough is there
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for the feedback
The montelukast which is there in xyzal m may cause fever as a side effect but the frequency is very less(less than 1% cases) while cold with fever is more common in a setting of viral fever.
So if fever is there with cold the first suspicion should be viral infection instead of the side effect.
I suggested you for cough medication in addition as you mentioned that the baby was not able to sleep due to cough. Cough, cold and fever are very commonly associated symptoms.
It's good to know that fever is not severe and responding well to crocin. I would suggest you to consult your pediatrician if significant cough is there for evaluation and prescription of medications.
I hope this helps.
Please let me know if you have any more questions.
Regards
