Ok so we’ve been having unprotected sex for a year straight trying to conceive and we still haven’t. We’re both young and in decent shape so this has caused concern.

Brief Answer:
Try daily during the fertile days.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
With regular unprotected sex, pregnancy usually happens in 6-8 months. Is your wife having regular periods? You need to have sex daily during the fertile days - from day 12 to 18 considering the day when periods start as day 1. If you are already having sex daily during the fertile days then you both need to be evaluated by a gynecologist to find out the cause for delay in conception.
Regards.

Brief Answer:
A healthy lifestyle helps.

Detailed Answer:
Apart from having a regular sex, you both need to have a healthy stress free life. Eat a diet that includes whole, unprocessed foods. The best foods for health are whole grains, legumes, vegetables, fruits, nuts, and seed. Avoid alcohol, smoking, take more of proteins and fresh vegetables. Minerals like zinc & selenium, amino acids like l-carnitine, and antioxidants like Vitamin C and Vitamin E are also very crucial to sperm and ovum health.
Control body weight by regular physical exercise- jogging/ running/ treadmill etc.

In case all the above do not help then do calculate the fertile days and then have regular sex during these days.
Regards.

Brief Answer:
OTC Fertility pills only help in general health improvement.

Detailed Answer:
Yes. Smoking weed decreases the chances of conception. Over the counter fertility pills are only multivitamins that helps in formation of healthy eggs and sperms. If you are trying during the fertile period for last 6 months and are still not able to conceive then you should consider consulting an infertility specialist and get yourself investigated.

Brief Answer:
It is best to consult an infertility specialist.

Detailed Answer:
It is best to consult a doctor and get a few investigations done so that specific treatment can be started. Whether the fertility pills will help you or not will depend on the problem that you have which can be diagnosed only after few investigations.
