I Have A Fingernail That Is Broken Horizontily Across About

Question: I have a fingernail that is broken horizontily across about halfway down the nail. Should I cut it, or just leave it alone? It keeps catching. I have attached picture.
Brief Answer:
Please Cut the dead part - carefully.
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query and photo.
Since the dead finger-nail keeps catching, it is better to remove the dead part.
Please get this removed and post another photos after removal in 2 views: One view as you have posted and another in 90 degrees that is lateral view.
I hope this answers your query and helps you.
Awaiting for fresh photos after cutting the dead nail.
With Regards.
