I Have A Little Sack In The Back Of My

default
Posted on Wed, 25 Mar 2020
Question: I have a little sack in the back of my mouth on the roof of my mouth. I have popped the sack a couple time, and a slimy textured substance comes out. It is not discolored in any way, just clear. After popping this little sac (about 1/4 in in diameter if that) it will go away but reappears a few days later and does seem to keep getting bigger until I pop it again. It does not hurt, but the skin is a little red around it. It is bothersome though because I can feel it rubbing against my tongue.

Brief Answer:
Seems to be mucocele, get it removed

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to ask a doctor service
I have gone through your query and it seems to be a mucocele.
It is a benign cystic lesion.
You need to consult a doctor and get it removed surgically to avoid recurrence.

I would recommend you to upload the pictures of the affected area under the report section of the site so that I can have a clearer picture of the condition and can guide you accordingly.
Regards
Dr Asmeet
