I Have A Mole And Would Like To Know If
Question: I have a mole and would like to know if it is skin cancer, it was brown before and over the last year changed its form and colour to my skin colour. before that it was flat now there is a pump and it has a light pale colour.
Brief Answer:
Wart rather than a mole
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to ask a doctor service. I have gone through your query and viewed the image.
It is most likely a wart rather than a mole- skin colored, and with irregular/wart surface unlike moles which are XXXXXXX or dark XXXXXXX to black with a smooth surface. Warts are notorious for changing/increasing in size and are caused by a DNA virus- human papillomavirus Moreover, unlike a hairy mole which is congenital or appears shortly after birth, warts are acquired much later in life.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if you need any more assistance

My question: can a mole change to a wart?
the thing is that it was diagnosed as a mole before by a dermatologist, but back then he said non cancerous (10 years ago) and i had it since birth too.
it was flat and very dark brown before and changed in form and shape during the last year.
the size is about 2cm. it had always been that big, just now it developed a bump and completely changed the colour from dark brown to a flesh colour.
it is also soft when you touch it
i have to mention that for 2 years, i live in the caribbeans now, before that in europe, so the sun exposure is a lot here.

Brief Answer:
Regarding growth on head??wart
Detailed Answer:
hi.
This doeesn't look like a cancerous mole but like a wart. Neither can change to the other. Perhaps the wart came up at exactly the same site as the mole. A wart can inoculate at any site on skin including moles and this may arouse suspicion because a wart usually grows and expands much faster unlike most moles. I suggest that it be subject to biopsy for confirmation of diagnosis and following that be subsequently removed with a Cautery.
Take care.
