I Have A Pain In My Lower Left Abdomen, I

default
Posted on Sat, 11 May 2019
Question: I have a pain in my lower left abdomen, I am going monday for a CT Scan, it was suggested it was either Diverticulitis or Kidney Stones. I've had Kidney Stones and the pain is in a different location, closer to the hip and doesn't feel at all like the same type of pain. My question is, I just lifted something heavy, and the area felt like it stretched and now hurts a good deal worse. I want to know if this is indicative of Diverticulitis or something else entirely?

Brief Answer:
Could be Diveticulitis

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your query.

Pain due to any sort of inflammation in the abdomen can aggravate on physical strain. But the renal stone does not worsen on work but may change before or after urination.

I believe if you have differential of Diverticulitis and renal stones, diverticulitis is the most probable diagnosis.

Sometimes adhesion to the intestines due to old inflammations can also cause such pain.

The scan will surely answer .

Hope, I answered your query.

Wish you good health.

Regards,
