Brief Answer:
Can be due to vitamin B-12 deficiency

Detailed Answer:
Hi there,

Thanks for writing in.

There can be various reasons for pale dry tongue such as:
1. Vitamin b12 deficiency
2. Dehydration
3. Oral thrush
4. Poor oral hygiene

The best way is to see your GP to rule out the systemic disease like anemia and start including vitamin B12 in your diet and increase the water intake.

If it still persists then see your dentist for physical examination.

Hope I have answered your questions.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Thanks
Kind Regards
