I Have A Question On Blood Pressure. I Have Been

Question: I have a question on blood pressure. I have been feeling light headed for some time and i have been checking my blood pressure. It has been in a good range. Top is 110-120 / bottom is around 80. Today it was 111/88. I read that narrow pulse range is not good. It can show low cardiac output. Do you know is this an Ok pulse range or too low so i should have attention on this and see how to handle it?
Brief Answer:
Your pulse pressure is not too low.
Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Welcome to Ask a Doctor service!
I understand your concern and would explain that this pulse pressure is not concerning about any cardiac disorders.
Regarding the lightheadedness, I recommend checking complete blood count for anemia and thyroid hormone levels for possible thyroid gland dysfunction.
But, there is no reason to panic about your heart!
So, just relax and don't worry about it!
I remain at your disposal for any further questions whenever you need !
Kind regards,
Dr.Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist

Dear Dr. Ilir Sharka,
Thank you for the answer. It helped. Have 2 questions:
What is the threshold for too low pulse pressure?
I have since i had born a murmur. It was found a several years and and confirmed a year ago wit ultra sound that i have a very mild mitral valve relapse with a mild regurguration. I was told it is very mild so no concern at all.
Could this be connected to the lower PP?
I measured myself a few hours later and the blood pressure was 119/84 so the PP went up.
These are just general questions to see can i have a greater understanding of this. Many Thanks!

I would explain as follows:
Detailed Answer:
Hello again!
An abnormally low pulse pressure is usually considered less than 25mm Hg.
Anyway, I don't think that the low pulse pressure is related to these echo findings, which have no clinical significance.
There is no reason to panic, as I don't think that anything serious is going on.
Besides, sometimes the machines do not give an accurate diastolic blood pressure measurement. Manually it is difficult to measure the blood pressure too.
As long as your cardiac ultrasound is OK (considering also the above findigns) and you are feeling no shortness of breath or leg swelling, there is no reason to worry about it!
Hope you will find this information helpful!
Wishing all the best,
Dr. Iliri

Dear Dr. Iliri,
Thank you for the information. I have one last question after the latest answer. I have been feeling somekind of shortness of breath for a longer time, but not really sure what it is. When i walsk around the day and walk uphill for example my chest muscles become very tense and my breathing changes from abdominal to lung. Than i feel i cannot got enough air a lot of times. I am not panning for air but it feels some kind of shortness of breath.
But when nights i go and run on a treadmill i can run for 10 minutes and none of this happens.
I did get a treadmill ECG (can't remember how you call it) 2 years ago and i had very good results. So i guess all of this is not cardiac related. Just want to check this data with you please.
Best,
Csaba

Brief Answer:
I would exclude any possible cardiac issues.
Detailed Answer:
Hello again!
Your symptoms are not suggestive of any cardiac disorders.
As a cardiologist, I would exclude any cardiac issues.
I would recommend performing pulmonary function tests in order to investigate for a possible lung issue and checking thyroid hormone levels for possible thyroid gland dysfunction.
I hope you will find this answer helpful!
Let me know in case of further uncertainties!
