Question: Hi doctor
I’m a bit confused as I have a rash on my chest I never have spots or rashes on my body.

I have recently started to massage my body! I used baby oil on my chest yesterday - Bio oil - and also had a hot sit in bath. I have attached some images can you recommend what this looks like?

Brief Answer:
Acneform eruption

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Seems like an acneform eruption. Could be due to oil massage and heat. I advice you to stop using oil in that area. You may use a soothing drying lotion e.g calamine lotion for a few days.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if you need any more assistance
Thanks.

Brief Answer:
Acneform eruption

Detailed Answer:
Hi.

It seems it could be an acneform eruption due to oil as there are a few red bumps with surrounding redness. Itching may be due to the eruption itself.
I suggest you to take an oral antihistamine e.g Cetrizine 10mg once daily for symptomatic relief from itching. Cetrizine is over the counter drug. Continue using Calamine lotion 2-3 times a day. It is soothing and would help relieve itching. I think that should take care of the issue. Let me know after 2-3 days.
Tske care

Brief Answer:
Regarding rash on chest

Detailed Answer:
thank you.
The redness seems to be less compared to the earlier pictures. I think you can expect it to be fine by another 5-7 days on this treatment.
Take care
