Question: I have a "rash" under my breast. It started as a red line, shaped like the wire in my bra. It turned from red and smooth to brown and "crusty". I've been using neosporin and bacatracin (sp) on it - it's never been itchy - it does hurt sometimes. I've had it about 2 weeks

Brief Answer:
Intertrigo

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to ask a doctor service. I have reviewed your query and noted your concern.

You seem to have intertrigo which is inflammation of body folds. Candida yeast is implicated as a cause. Sweating and rubbng are predisposimg factors. I suggest you to use an OTC topical antifungal e.g clotrimazole 1% cream, twice daily. In addition to that you may take an oral antifungal e.g fluconazole 150mg tablet once a week for 4 weeks.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if you need any more assistance.
