no the lump is not sore.im not sure if it could just be a gland. it looks a little more white in the photo. i think that is becuase of the flash.thanks

Thank you for the photo. To me it looks like a benign fibroepithelial polyp or fibroma. Do you smoke, drink more alcohol than recommended? Any dental prostheses? For how long have you had this lump? Any prior cancer or neoplasia in your head/neck area?
