Question: I have a small skin bump/lesion on my face, it is a bit yellowish in colour, and has been there for years, I am age 58. It might have increased ever so slightly in size. It is not painful, really just cosmetic. But I am wondering if it is a cancer, and should be followed through on.

Brief Answer:
Possibility of Milium

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to ask a doctor service. I have gone through your query and noted your concern.

Perhaps it is just a Milium which are small keratin cysts. They are entirely cosmetic and can be easily removed with the help of a needle. A dermatologist would do it for you.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if you need any more assistance.

Attached is a picture of my facial skin lesion, which I think you have correctly asssessed, but for greater certainty do confirm. I was not able to see how to attach a picture in the healthcare magic question section.

Hard to get a good picture, here is one with better lighting.

Brief Answer:
Regarding facial bump

Detailed Answer:
thank you.
The pictures are not very clear. Doesn't look like a Milium. It could be Sebaceous hyperplasia which looks like a yellowish orange bump and gradually form in those with oily skin. They may be multiple. Do you have oily skin? Any which way, it has to be removed with a cautery.
Take care
