Brief Answer:
Possible muscle strain

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor service.
I read your query and here is my advice.

I think you may possibly have muscles strain that is possible caused by an injury ,sudden movement, lifting an object etc.
The fact that it hurts more in certain positions when you move around and stops when sitting down reinforces the fact that it can be mussel injury.
It can get healed by itself.
You can use antinflamatory drugs such advil or acetaminophen for pain.
Also you can put cold and warm compresses alternating them to stimulate circulation.
Also keep a position which doesn't cause pain.

Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
