Question: I have a weird tickle feeling in my breasts. The left is worse. The tickle feeling moves around to different areas of breast and only last for a very short moment. Ive has a 3D mammo and Ultrasound. All was well. I take evening primrose oil and it seems to help, but doesn’t go away completely. No rashes or discolorations. No change in detergents and I don’t wear lotions. No change in soaps. This has been going on for over 3 months. Some days its not there at all. I have severe stress over this and can’t stop examining breasts. Please help me.

Also, no discharge or anything like that. It seems to be worse when I sweat more, which I do a lot of ever since my dr increased my depression meds. This is ruining my life. I feel like I can’t be happy with this going on. I have 3 very small children and I extremely depressed thinking I have cancer that is going to take me from them. Please, please help me. :(

I don’t have the results of the mammo and ultrasound. I spoke with the radiologist after the test were performed. I trust his judgment. There are no palatable
Masses, lumps, or pain. I breastfed all my kids, the last was over a year ago. I take 40mg if Paxil. And I’m always stressed and anxious. I’ve had 3 different mammon’s and ultrasounds over the past 4 years due to anxiety and finding lumps and bumps. My mammos have always come back normal with no changes whatsoever. Im a highly anxious person. I feel like death is always just around the corner for me. This sensation I feel, doesn’t feel like an itch. It feels more like a tickle that lasts for only a second then is gone. It’s in a different place of my breast every time
I feel it. Sometimes
Underneath. Sometimes
The sides, nipple, top, etc. it’s worse when I’m stressed. And worse when I can’t stop
Thinking about it.

I’ve always been small breasted so aside from wearing and undershirt I’ve never needed the support of a bra. However I put in a lot of weight over the last 6
Months due to my depression. My breasts have both grow in size from
That.

I would like to add that when I’m consistent in taking the evening primrose oil, the sensation is almost comepletly gone.

Brief Answer:
As detailed below.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for waiting and feedback in details.
Wanting to know instant answers for your symptoms and normal investigations itself indicate the level of anxiety which needs a proper management.
Breast feeding 3 babies reduce the chance of cancer of breasts.
Cancer of breasts does not cause any symptoms at all in the initial stages other then a lump or retracted nipples and caner is ruled out.
The symptoms that you have mentioned are not a part of any physical disease.
Hence you need a proper evaluation by a Psychiatrist again to adjust your doses.
Get Thyroid function tests done so that Levothyroxin doses can be adjusted if needed. This may help for anxiety.
Mirena IUD contains hormones and is known to add on psychological problems hence you may need to remove it ans use alternative contraception as per the advise of your Gynecologist.
Too many mammograms is not a good idea if all the previous tests are normal.

I hope this answer helps you. Please feel free to ask for further relevant queries if you feel that there is a gap of communications.

Stop worrying, you need to change and help yourself to overcome anxiety.
Once the psychological problem is overcome all your symptoms and requirement of avoidable medications will come down as well as the symptoms related to breasts.

Phew...lol. I really appreciate your response. I did not know that about the Mirena...maybe i do need to have it replaced with something else. I’ve hit some pretty dark holes the last couple years. Sometimes I don’t know if it’s all worth it anymore, lol. Jk. I really appreciate your help doc. Thank you.
