Mononucleosis may cause similar clinical picture, details below
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to "Ask a Doctor" service.
I carefully read your query and here is my advice.
The combination of your symptoms, rash and sore throat for a few weeks may be contributed to mononucleosis infection. It makes ght be good to have a test to rule it out or confirm it. It is a blood test for mononucleosis.
Because it is a virus, there is no specific treatment for it but supportive treatment.
The white line at the back of the throat I think is due to secretions running down from your throat and is part of the picture with infections of upper respiratory tract (as happens with mononucleosis as well).
I would appreciate though if you give me some more information on the rash, how does it look, if it itches or is painful, how did it start and progressed, etc, and if a picture can be attached can be of a great help.
Hope this helps you. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj

So at the moment there is no visible rash on the neck (even though it feels it is there), is it still there on the tummy? How about the extremities (arms and legs)?
Waiting for your reply and the upload,
Regards,

Some treatments advised
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
You can use some local treatment with antifungal and steroid cream to help with the rash. You can apply betamethasone cream thin layer on the rash and over it put some miconazole or clotrimazole cream (whichever you can easier find) twice a day ofr 7-10 days.
Meanwhile make sure you avoid necklaces or other materials on the neck area and also be watchful of the belt because sometimes materials of these (necklaces and belts) may cause local irritation.
Wearing cotton wear is very important to help absorb sweat and not cause local irritation.
If you notice no improvement with this treatment in 3-4 days or you notice any worsening please see your doctor.
I hope this answers your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj,
