Question: I have acute pain in my lower left side of my abdomen. Approximately 2” from the lower left of my umbilicals. I take Bently for it but it doesn’t help. I had a total hysterectomy in 2013,I had this pain before the surgery but now it’s worse than ever. I also had hernia surgery from the top of my umbilicutis they had to put in a 5” mesh but this isn’t near the pain I have now but it has gotten worse since the surgery.

Brief Answer:
Some tests should be done.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for choosing 'Ask a Doctor' service for your query,
The point of pain you are indicating consists of two organs
1)Intestine-We need to rule out conditions like diverticulitis in which there is inflammation of intestines.
2)Ovary-Inflammation in ovary, mild torsion or infection could be a cause.
Test suggested
Ultrasound abdomen
Stool and urine test.
Follow up with reports.
Hope I was helpful,
Thanks.
Our priority is to rule out inflammation or infection.
