I Have An Enlarged Lymph Node On The Left Side
Question: I have an enlarged lymph node on the left side of my neck just below the ear. It has been that way for at least two years. At that time, (2 years ago) I was also having occasional night sweats, and I did see an oncologist. After a CT and since I was in generally good health, he decided it was reactive and not a problem.
My concern is lymphoma. I am once again having night sweats and they are pretty intense (not thoroughly soaking, but almost). I can still feel the lymph node on the side of my neck. The difference this time is that while it does not appear swollen in the area, it feels like it like it is more fleshy. I am also have occasional shortness of breath, but up until now I attributed that to a very mild case of bronchiectasis (however, the most recent CT showed no BX which doctors can not explain). I do tend to get lethargic late in the afternoon (although I had attributed that to the thyroid which I am addressing now.) I did go my GP 10 days for theisvery reason. He did a CBC and urine analysis. Since all came back normal, he is not concerned. Isn't is possible to have lymphoma despite normal counts?
