I Have An Issue With Sudden Onset Vertigo . I
A consultation with the neurologist and ophthalmologist
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to “Ask a doctor”.
I have gone through your concerns and I am of the opinion that there could be many causes of vertigo per se and one of them are due to ear problems.
However since that has been examined by the doctors and seems to be normal, i would suggest that you need to visit a neurologist for a clinical examination and a carotid doppler that will rule out any decrease blood flow to the brain causing vertigo.
I would like you to answer the following questions so that it will help me answer you better-
1. I would also like to know is there vertigo only when you turn your head
to a certain direction or does it not depend on position?
2. Are you are undergoing any stress or panic attacks of late?
3. Do you have headaches or migraine attacks associated to this vertigo?
4. Is there any history of injury in the recent past?
About vision being an issue , you can visit the ophthalmologist who will rule out presence of any malignant hypertension.
However, a consultation with the neurologist and ophthalmologist is important at this juncture.
Hope your question was answered to a satisfactory extent.
Kindly reply to the above questions.
However if you are satisfied kindly close the thread and rate the answer.
Get well soon.
