I Have Been Diagnosed By A Chiropractor As Having Short

Question: I have been diagnosed by a chiropractor as having short leg syndrome and mild scoliosis. He said it was developmental and showed me the xrays.
I regularly have to pop my back and neck multiple times a day and have chronic muscle tension and uncomfortability which is what led me to seek help.
I was told that basically my spine has maladjusted and that’s what I’m doing when I pop my back to get relief.
The questions I have about this are
-what does developmental really mean and what could have caused this short leg syndrome over time?
-my xrays look a bit odd to an untrained eye and I’m wondering if they may indicate an unrelated problem that a chiropractor may not be trained to identify

Hi there
Thanks for the query
An abnormally curved spine can lead to supposed limb length differences because of a tilt in the pelvis. This is one way a short leg can occur.
Developmental is because as your body grows, the spine curve can increase and can further make the leg length differences worse.
It would be wise to consult a Spine specialist asks Deformity correction specialist to get certain investigations done like full length spine and pelvis to foot xrays to understand why you have a short leg.
I hope I have answered your query.

The chiropractor said we needed to adjust my back before doing a foot lift in my shoe. This seems like a long process and I’m wondering if things are getting worse in the meantime. I have pain all the way up my neck and shoulders at times. That area is actually the worst. I am attempting to upload xrays so you can better evaluate

Detailed Answer:
I had a look at your xrays and there does not appear to be much of a curve.
It would be best to get a scanogram done as well from your pelvis to feet. This will explain and limb length differences.
