I Have Been Diagnosed With Chronic Bacterial Prostatitis - Heavy

default
Posted on Thu, 22 Aug 2019
Question: I have been diagnosed with chronic bacterial prostatitis - heavy growth of enterococcus faecalis, said to be sensitive to amitriptyline. I was prescribed 500mg *3 of this drug for 6 weeks. But I gave up after 7 days.. It just made my symptoms even worse - burning inflammation of scrotum; hot fizzy unnatural urination, constipation,, very difficult bowel movements. Why should this have happened? What can I do? Are there some recommended creams for my scrotum? I have some tramadol - can I take that for the burning pain?

Brief Answer:
You can take Tramadol

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for query
Based on the facts that you have posted you seem to have been diagnosed to have Prostatitis

Bacterial prostatitis is a notorious disease which does not respond to antibiotics as antibiotics fail to reach deep in to tissue.

I would suggest you to Practice doing prostate massage which helps to eliminate all prostate secretions and infected material out .

You can take Tramadol twice daily.

Thanks and Regards

That's useful advice thanks - I don't know how I'd go about self treating exactly - you didn't say why the antibiotic would have had this effect

Would the massage risk spreading the bacterial infection further?

Thanks for follow up
The Pristatic massage helps to discharge thesecretiins of the prostate that contains bacteria and reduces the congestion of the prostate which is the cause for pain.

You have to get help of health personnel or any one one of close relative to learn about doing prostate .
