Question: Hello,

Every now and then I get a weird feeling on my face. It doesn’t go numb. It it feels tingly at times but it mostly feels like I have a layer of thick skin on my face with less sensation. What is that? It feels so weird.
I have been diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder but my face feels like this even when not anxious. Should I see a neurologist. I never had any feelings of this in my life until October when I had an abortion with the pill.

Brief Answer:
Anxiety may be the reason.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I think that that wired feeling on your face , tingling and loss of sensation may be related to anxiety disorder.
I don't find it related to using abortion pills but the abortion may have contributed more to anxiety. Get your blood pressure reading done.
I don't think you need to see a neurologyst.
Continue taking the anxiety drugs and you may need to discuss it to your psychiatrist during the upcoming appointment.

Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Thanks.
