Question: I have been experiencing sudden vision disturbance ( CANNOT FOCUT) and loss of mobility. I still have cognizance of where I am but cannot balance. I have had to pull over while driving because I can't focus my eyes. Passes usually in about five minutes.

Brief Answer:
Mostly an internal ear problem.

Detailed Answer:
Hi Bonnimac,
Thanks for asking. I understand your concern.

Your description of Inability to focus eyes along with lack of balance suddenly ,typically suggests problem with inner ear( more specifically with the fluid in canals of labarynth). It basically results in loss of balance, along with shaky movements of eyes (nystagmus) leading to inability to focus

Consultation of an ENT surgeons along with needful investigations , would pin point cause of internal ear involvement followed by specific management.
-You should avoid driving in such trouble.take rest
-over the counter pills like dizziron will give you some relief. till you see the specialist.
I hope that helps you..Any follow up query is welcome.
Thanks.
