I Have Been Getting Neck Headaches Recently And A Super Sensitive Scalp

Regarding shingles
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Shingles can be associated with headache and neck stiffness. Perhaps the sensitivity on scalp is due to neuralgia from past healed shingles that erupted on your forehead. Neuralgic pain can have this sort of a burning feeling and ill defined increased sensitivity in the involved area. I suggest you to take an analgesic like paracetamol for symptomatic relief. You can take it 3-4 times depending on the need. If the neuralgia persists it would be better to take pregabalin along with amytriptyline for a few weeks. As far as the current shingles episode is concerned i would suggest you to take an oral antiviral like valacyclovir or acyclovir for a week. It is a prescription drug.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if you need any more assistance.

Regarding zoster and neuralgia
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Amitryptyline and even pregabalin is slightly sedating. Amytripryline at night and pregabalin twice a day. You may take them though along with valacyclovir.
Take care
