Hello and welcome in "Ask a Doctor".
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Based on your symptoms I think this is a STI. Vybramycin is a good drug for some STI but usually I prescribe it after some test for STI.
But I think that you should finish the treatment for 7 days and to see if you have improvements of symptoms and then to go for a follow up after 3 weeks.
Hope I have answered your query.
Feel free to ask me further.

Hello Dr. thanks for the reply. the doctor has taken a blood sample and a swab along with some secretion from inside the urether. the immediate test was to check tye secretion under microscope and some pus cells were observed. hence the antibiotics as infection was confirmed. the culture is in progress. my question is even after 5 days of the antibiotics the symptoms are still there. Although not much burning but still some itch inside.? is this normal?

Thanks for the report
I have finished my course of 7 days yesterday. The burning and itching has reduced significantly. However there is still slight itching inside the penis and burning sensation sporadically
1. Does that mean the infection is not fully cured
2. I am abstaining from sex for another week currently. Do you think protected sex is ok
3. Does masturbation worsen the symptoms of the infection
4. Doctor advised me to avoid milk and milk products while taking antibiotics however I was not able to avoid it fully. I had 1 cup milk in the morning. Do you think this has reduced the effectiveness of the antibiotics

Having itching and burning sensation sporadically doesn't mean that the infection is not full cured.
Yes you can continue to have protected sexuall intercourse.
