I Have Been Having Stomach Problems For The Last Several Months
I don’t go at all. I have extreme bloat and gas with nausea at times. When this flares up I pass mucous or blood with or without bowel movements. Even if I have a bowel movement I still feel pressure like I need to go again. I had a colonoscopy about eight months ago. The only abnormality was a benign polyp. I haven’t seen the doctor yet for my current problem. I have Sjögren syndrome, fibromyalgia, and small fiber neuropathy. I have wondered if this is a symptom of one of those conditions. Thanks for any information you can give me.
Irritable bowel syndrome
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for your query.
Irritable bowel syndrome , was also called spastic or nervous colon, and spastic bowel, is a commonly occuring functional gastrointestinal disorder characterized by a multitude of symptoms accompanied together that include abdominal pain and changes in the consistency and frequency of bowel movements. These symptoms occur over a long time, sometimes years. It has been classified into four different types depending on whether diarrhea is common, constipation is common, both are common (mixed/alternating), or neither occurs very often
Since, you have a mixed type, basic diet changes can show some response in the form of management. High fibre, high protein and low carb diet can ease your symptoms on the long run.
There are medications that you can consume when you are constipated like Liquid paraffin.
Hope,I answered your query.
regards,
