I Have Been Having Trouble With Lower Bowel Cramps And

Question: I have been having trouble with lower bowel cramps and constipation 6 weeks. I have 3 possible medicines and wish you to clarify what each one does and which I should take. Please don’t confuse me by recommending other medicines as they may not be available where I live:
• MEDIXON 8 mg X 3 X day (Methylprednisolone) after food
• BUSCOPAN PLUS (Hyoscine –N- butylbromide 10 mg, Paracetamol 500 mg) as needed when Medixon doesn’t control pain.
• DUSPATALIN RETARD 200 mg – I found this very good for reducing cramps, but I stopped taking it regularly. Can I take it instead of either Medixon or Buscopan Plus – or in addition?
Thank you in advance

Brief Answer:
The constipation needs to be relieved first

I have gone carefully through your query and understand your concerns. In the given condition Duspatalin Retard can somehow be of help but would not completely resolve the problem. Medixon or Buscopan Plus would not help in this case. If you have constipation, and your body is trying hard to expel the accumulated matter (by muscular contractions manifesting as bowel cramps), it is the constipation you need to relieve first. Taking a Proctoclysis emema or glycerine enema can help.
