Question : Hi i have been really worried I been with my partner for 6 years he gets cold sores since small and his family too they all do and everytime he has a cold sore 1 a year I stay away we don%E2%80%99t have sex or kiss this time he noticed after he performed oral sex on me I%E2%80%99m extremely worried does this mean I%E2%80%99m going to get cold sores in my private area :(

If he developed a cold sore right away after performing oral sex most probably you will develop sores on private area. Herpes simplex 1 is not typically sexually transmitted diseases but can be transmitted if you kiss or have oral - genital sex during the outbreak.
So there is an increased probability that you can develop genital sores after having oral sex.

Has it happen that individuals don’t get the infection? I made a appointment for may 28 with my doctor to do some exsames even if I don’t get the outbreak . I’m just extremely worried . After he gave me oral sex he saw the 2 red smal pimples he usually gets 1 a year .
