I Have Been Suffering From Increasing Pain In The Right
Question: I have been suffering from increasing pain in the right front shoulder for about 36 hours. It feels as if the pain is coming from something swelling or pushing against the upper inside of my right ribcage. The pain increases when i breathe in, but I can no longer find any position that lessens it. Light housework is too painful to do, and the pain has begun to run down the inside of my right arm to about the elbow. it is fairly constsnt, but is worse when i breathe in, even when resting.
I dont know if this is just a passing issue, or something more serious.
Thank you for any help.

Brief Answer:
Possible musculoskeletal injury
Detailed Answer:
Hello Sir,
I can certainly understand your concern
I have worked through your attached query in detail
This condition possibly looks like a musculoskeletal injury.
It's advisable to consider an X-ray imaging of the affected shoulder and rib cage for further evaluation.
A short course of oral analgesics like Sodium diclofenac will be very useful.
Please check with your physician if s/he shares the same view and can prescribe these tests and medications to improve your symptoms.
Please review with reports to determine further course of action.
Post your further questions if any.
Thank you

Thank you, Dr. -
May I ask what sort of musculoskeletal injury this could be? I have no memory of any occurrence that might have caused it, nor do I have any black and blue areas where the pain is. It feels as if it’s emanating from something underneath my rib cage, something that’s pushing the top rib outward. Are there any differential diagnoses?

By the way, I’m not sure why it is wrong, but I am a 55 year-old female, not a male.
